As the Restaurant Operations Analyst, you will support the field and home office teams with reporting and analysis for Barnes & Noble restaurants. You will be responsible for aggregating restaurant operational data and building reports for field and home office leadership. You will also provide recommendations on additional reporting and possible courses of action based on business results.

Essential Functions

• Gather data from a variety of sources and work with business stakeholders to create reporting that will inform on restaurant operations to improve overall business performance
• Analyze and make recommendations to improve front-of-house and back-of-house processes. Identify opportunities to improve scheduling
• Monitor and identify trends on Barnes & Noble Kitchen results
• Create and utilize tools specifically for restaurant visits including but not limited to: P&L evaluation and grade sheet, action plan templates, progress tracking, documentation, etc.
• Coordinate marketing processes: compile, submit, and track requests for promotions/signage as needed
• Partner with vendor on digital menu board creation and updating
• Audit vendor invoices and support setup of new vendors
• Partner with stores and the property management teams to resolve equipment and supplies issues
• Manage flow of communication from home office to field via E-planner projects


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of 1-2 years relevant analytical experience; restaurant operations experience a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Excel required (pivot tables preferred)
• Excellent analytical, data management and reporting skills
