Description

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting Sourcing Managers and Directors as they lead large scale sourcing initiatives. You also are responsible for leading small to medium sized sourcing initiatives. Initially, you will focus on projects across all indirect spend categories and evolve in to focusing on one to two major indirect categories as the team expands. You will play a vital role in helping build the credibility of the Procurement function around the business.

Essential Functions

• Collect data necessary to run successful sourcing events, such as spend data, stakeholder requirements, stakeholder budget, supply base, supplier financials, market dynamics and trends and other data specific to each project.
• Conduct analysis on data to help stakeholders understand cost models, savings forecasts, pricing proposals, qualitative proposals and other data specific to each project.
• Understand and summarize data for use in Executive presentations.
• Assist in the development of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFP)s and all accompanying documents.
• Assist in the preparation of negotiation strategy and documents used in supplier meetings.
• Manage updates to savings trackers, procurement policies and sourcing toolkits.
• Leverage existing tools and technologies to support procurement initiatives.
• Liaise between business stakeholders and Finance on savings.
• Support the Director of Procurement in establishing a high-functioning, best in class sourcing organization capable of driving impact and delivering savings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and skills to support a robust multi-step strategic sourcing project.
• Ability to engage and build relationships with peers from different functions around the organization who may have never previously worked with a formal sourcing or procurement team.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Communication skills necessary to present to peers, Managers and Directors.
• Innovative thinker to help create and deploy creative procurement solutions.
• Travel requirement <10%.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain or management consulting role.
