Description

As a Merchandising Assistant, you support the Buyer and Gift team in an administrative capacity.

Essential Functions

Position Responsibilities:
• Full ownership of all data entry responsibilities as they pertain to purchase orders, and sales information
• Maintain awareness of market through competitive shopping and store visits; develop knowledge and understanding of pricing and trends
• Maintain vendor contact list and build vendor relationships
• Manage incoming and outgoing communications with your team
• Assist with the development of trend boards to influence future buys
• Monitor and resolve issues relative to purchase orders and shipments
• General administrative support of the buying team

Qualifications

• High level of organizational ability and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Minimum 1 year of administrative office experience required, buying office experience a plus.
• Bachelor's degree
