Description

As a Business Analyst, you will carefully assess the merchant teams business needs to recommend workflow changes and to define and manage the requirements that drive system development. You will become an expert on the Companys merchandising systems from the users perspective in order to troubleshoot issues and to provide general support and training. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute major merchandising projects. This includes monitoring project timelines to ensure they stay on track, executing project tasks, sending status updates on progress, and creating reporting and analytics related to the projects.

Essential Functions

• Manages requirements, user acceptance testing, and release rollouts for the merchandising systems.
• Assists with major merchandising operations such as clearance, return of unproductive product, Black Friday promotions, and major book releases.
• Provides the merchants, planners, and allocators with expert guidance on the usage and capabilities of the company’s current tools.
• Supports users in close-to-real time with their issues, questions, and concerns. Fields questions and determines the nature of the problem (training vs. technical).
• Completes and archives all work in alignment with the principles of Digital Asset Management established within the Merchandise Planning & Store Allocation team.
• Additional job duties or responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of allocation, merchandise planning, or business analyst experience in a specialty retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle tasks on multiple projects.
• Curiosity and an analytical mindset.
• Works well under deadlines, self-starter, innovative.
• Expert in Excel, with understanding of databases a plus.
