Description

As the Cafe Marketing Manager, you develop the monthly marketing and promotions strategy for the Cafe to drive sales and gross margin. You manage marketing and promotions plan for more than $300 million annually, including the Godiva business. You create communications for the field relating to Cafe merchandise, marketing, and operations.

Essential Functions

• Set up and develop menu boards, menu cards, posters, etc.
• Coordinate social media activity
• Manage price changes in POS and various price zones
• Maintain and update Book Fair flyer
• Maintain and update web site for Café landing page
• Set up all new items and markdowns, partnering with merchandising and IT
• Develop marketing promotions and plans
• Analyze reports and identify business opportunities for the Café
• Manage the signage, artwork, copy, and approvals processes
• Coordinate the art direction and approvals for B&N photoshoots and Café menus
• Provide insight on food trends and competitive landscapes in the coffee industry. Contribute to the development of the new product pipeline including idea generation, opportunity assessment, product development, and launch/roll out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Three to five years minimum of food service experience in a managerial capacity
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel occasionally to meetings and stores located across the country.
