As the Director of Labor, Store Operations you will be responsible for developing the strategy and implementation for the companys new labor model. This includes budgeting, forecasting, and using analytical models and testing to optimize store-level operations, systems and through workforce planning, identify cost-reduction opportunities. You will collaborate across the organization with VPs, Directors, and Managers of various internal departments to understand the business needs and take the lead on labor initiatives.

Essential Functions

• Lead the ongoing development and implementation of the scheduling and workforce management application.
• Identify future opportunities for system enhancements, labor efficiencies and cost savings in store.
• Lead all analytical initiatives in the area of Store Operations and Labor Productivity.
• Utilize Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to develop a strategy for improving store workflow and processes.
• Develop and implement analytical models to help drive business improvement using techniques such as clustering, regression, classification, predictive modelling, etc.
• Develop and implement process flows for key store initiatives and drive productivity improvements.
• Lead change management efforts according to best practices in store operations and labor optimization techniques.
• Partner with internal business teams to create an effective improvement plan for each Fiscal year.


• Strong background in Retail Operations and Labor Productivity methodologies.
• Expertise in Store Operations, Labor and Financial concepts.
• Has the mindset to fit the 3A model: Agility, Adaptability and Ability
• Strong knowledge in statistical analysis, segmentation, descriptive and predictive modeling, market research, and project management
• Previous success on impacting the bottom line and increasing the competitive advantage of an omnichannel retain organization.
• Experience as a strategic advisor and trusted partner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
• Education requirement – Bachelors (Math, Stats, Economics, Computer Science); Masters Preferred
• At least 10 years of Consulting or Business analytics related to labor; experience in Retail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and experience with Analytical tools, SQL, R, SAS, Python, Alteryx, Tableau (Cliq, Domo, etc.).
