Description

The primary responsibility of the Manager of Business Initiatives - Budgeting & Planning role is to create the annual budget, plan and balance project workload throughout the year by week. You will work closely with all Home Office Departments and Marketplace Leadership including Store Teams to ensure end-to-end execution of projects. The goal of this position is to manage and set up stores for success in implementing all projects.

Essential Functions

• Owns the annual Business Initiatives (BI) budget of $20MM and management process, ensures that budget is created on time and on-going plan is maintained on a weekly basis. Collaborates with all stakeholders in planning and balancing workload.
• Manages interdependencies across departments and functions while working with other Project and Program Managers to identify and manage interdependent deliverables.
• Identifies resource needs and ensures resources are accountable and delivering against the need and commitments.
• Communicates at the proper level of detail to the right stakeholders at the correct level of frequency.
• Manages department and BI platform risk exposure and escalates function, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources (people/money) of the stability and operations area for Business intelligence.
• Manage budget and changes while forecasting monthly.

Qualifications

• Strong organization, time-management, prioritization, multi-tasking, independent-decision making, problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, etc. skills.
• Works well under deadlines, self-starter, innovative, team-oriented, customer-focused, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of the principles of BI planning & execution.
• Experienced in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Reflexis Task Manager & integration with Scheduler.
• Travel requirement (20%) as required to ensure proper end-to-end execution of BIs.
• At least 5 years of Operations/Project Management experience in a specialty retail environment.
• Education requirement - bachelor’s degree required.
