Manager, International Logistics              

What you do:

  • Directly contributes to the development and implementation of the global logistics strategies in order to ensure cost effective and on-time flow of globally sourced merchandise
  • Knowledge of US Customs compliance, Shipper of record and Vendor compliance.
  • Manage the performance of international carriers and logistics intermediaries
  • Ensure compliance with international and U.S. laws related to import/export activity
  • Develop strong relationships with ocean carriers and third party logistics service providers to ensure vessel capacity and high levels of service
  • Secure a more competitive position to achieve cost reduction.
  • Develop relationships with key government agencies both in the USA and abroad in order to ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements in order to facilitate the flow of goods.
  • Knowledge of FTZ operations and processes.
  • Ensure the business progresses to meet and exceed established performance standards
  • Select and motivate staff with experience in being a strong developer of people

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business or related field.
  • 1-3 years in decision support tool development/implementation preferred
  • 8-10 years of international business experience with an in-depth knowledge of US and international customs compliance with regards to import/export regulations
  • Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Knowledge and strong experience managing global carriers
  • 10 plus years in of strong leadership and team building skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
  • Collaborative approach to working with third party vendors and internal departments
