Description

The Manager, Specialty Gift Rep Sales works closely with the Senior Director of Sales in managing the day-to-day selling activities of commission gift sales representatives in the United States selling to gift accounts and select specialty retailers.

Essential Functions

• Manages seven commission gift rep groups in the United States
• Attends and participates in relevant conferences and trade shows
• Travels with sales reps on key account visits
• Organizes and runs effective seasonal group meetings for sales representatives
• Maintains constant contact with representatives to monitor market changes and seasonal sell-in
• Creates the gift catalog for the Fall and Spring seasons
• Remerchandises the showrooms with new products and prepares for and participates in regional gift shows and NY NOW
• Follows up monthly with rep principals to ensure that sales goals are being met
• Collaborates with sales director in planning and budgeting
• Oversees key budget lines including but not limited to co-op, travel, and commissions
• Works with sales director to create promotions for sales representatives and accounts

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience managing field reps, gift rep experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with and managing a field sales force
• Ability to manage in-house staff and their workload
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
• Must be willing to travel
• Ability to drive preferred
• Proven ability to work with fast-paced deadline driven environment
