Description

The Sr. Copywriter will develop comprehensive, clear, and compelling copy according to our internal style guide. They will work closely with the art directors and designers to develop strategic concepts - annual, seasonal, and other projects. They will also develop copywriting strategies that can roll out across all media.

Essential Functions

• Review all copy to ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality of work.
• Research additional product information whenever necessary.
• Input and edit deliverables into the copy production workflow system.
• Stay up-to-date on brand messaging, style guidelines, product updates, and industry news.
• Effectively manage workflow and team assignments, from initial direction to team members through execution, ensuring all schedules are met and on time.
• Effectively communicate with design, marketing and merchandising teams - written and verbal - to ensure all stay informed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years copy-writing experience in an agency and/or in-house experience, in an online environment, strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Media, Marketing/Advertising preferred
• Must have an outstanding portfolio of marketing and eCommerce writing.
• Strong grammar, copy-editing, and proofreading skills required.
• Basic to advanced understanding of website usability, design, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles required.
• Ability to multi-task, stay highly organized, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.
• Experience working collaboratively with a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic content management systems required.
• Previous management experience is a plus.
