Description

The Barnes & Noble Summer Internship program is designed to provide students with the exciting opportunity to apply their education in a real-life professional setting, while gaining valuable industry experience and transferable skills. This will be a paid 10-week program, in which Interns will partner with Mentors on accomplishing impactful company projects. The program will begin on June 4th and end on August 10th.

Essential Functions

The eCommerce/Digital intern will learn the skills and tools necessary to support an eCommerce website in a retail/digital environment by rotating through various departments in our Barnes & Noble, Nook, Nook Press and Sparknotes divisions.

Our department rotations will include:
o Business Development & Operations
o Digital Experience:
- Creative
- Category Management
- Editorial
- SEO
- Product Management
o Digital Operations
- Merchandising
- Content & Omnichannel Operations
- Site Operations
o Project Management
o Technology & Operations

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• Enrolled as at least rising Junior in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program, or enrolled in an accredited Master’s degree program.
• Available to work a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.
• Innovative, have good writing skills, great interpersonal skills, and can work among various groups of people
• Strong organization, time-management, prioritization, multi-tasking, independent-decision making, and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical and detail-oriented.
