The Analyst will use his/her skills to support the Category Manager, Book for The Category Management Analyst will work closely with merchandising, creative and analytics teams to drive book sales. Key responsibilities include assisting in the planning/support of key titles, including onsite placement, participating in the execution of key company initiatives; generating reports; understanding key drivers and trends within the book market/industry and integrating them on to, always with a focus on the customer experience

Essential Functions

• Partner with merchandising, marketing and cross functional teams (Email, CRM, Site Experience, Production, etc.) to align/execute merchandising and promotional strategies
• Analysis and reporting of sales and promotional activity and generate actionable recommendations based on data
• Act as a main liaison between marketing, creative, and production teams.
• Secure samples for creative assets
• Identify and track dual channel promotions and communicate to cross functional team.
• Collaborates with individual merchant groups, pricing specialists and SEM/affiliate team to develop online-only promotions.
• Maintain and manage cross functional digital marketing calendar updates
• Recommend merchandising and promotional strategies
• Responsible for coordinating and executing post-marketing initiative recaps
• Stay up to date on digital competitive landscape and consumer behaviors including lifecycle, shopping behaviors, etc., with a strong focus on customer experience.


• Bachelor's Degree
• 3 years of Digital Marketing or Merchandising experience
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi task in high demand, fast paced environment
• Highly analytical
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong Computer Skills: Word, Power Point, & Outlook. Expertise in Excel.
• Preferred experience in Adobe Analytics, Business Intelligence
