Description

We are looking for a creative, results driven merchant to lead Barnes & Noble Paper Shop strategy. This role will work closely with the Vice President of Specialty to enhance the greeting card, stationery and writing instrument assortments across physical and digital platforms.

Position Responsibilities:
Identify and maximize emerging trends
Develop interconnected business strategies to maximize business opportunities
Develop assortment plans to support aligned interconnected strategies
Identify, build and maintain strong vendor partnerships
Strong management across all P & L components
Manage partner performance to meet and exceed aligned business objectives
Continually review, analyze and improve interconnected assortment(s)
Proactively partner with cross function teams including Inventory Control, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, etc.
Travel to store locations to review product mix, obtain feedback and share information, investigate and respond to field issues.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 5- 10 years of previous buying experience
• At least 5 years experience in leadership roles: setting & executing strategy and driving results
