Description

The Purchasing Associate will support the Industrial Purchasing department by processing and coding invoices, and maintaining databases and files. You will assist in the management and creation of project schedules and task details using project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, and checklists. You will be responsible for fixture rollouts, store layout, fixture plan, coordination of fixture design and development in partnership with Industrial Purchasing.

Essential Functions

• Manage department invoices, including coding, processing, batching, data entry and tracking payments through Oracle and Concur.
• Provide support with respect to the new store openings. This includes but not limited to, managing purchase orders, interacting with freight companies and vendors related to deliveries, and placing fixture orders as necessary.
• Create and produce reports and spreadsheets in Excel to support the Industrial Purchasing team.
• Respond to phone inquiries from potential vendors and customers.
• Maintain furniture, fixture and equipment budget by store, for rollouts, projects and new stores.
• Manage service channel requests for all stores.
• Create and prepare forms as needed relative to department matters.
• Maintain and control fixture inventory, wall covering inventory and other customer owned inventory.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting and budget tracking is required.
• Needs excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and be an independent worker as well as a team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD desirable but not required; must be able to learn AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Oracle and Concur is desired but not required.
• Needs excellent problem solving skills and team building skills.
• Must be optimistic, articulate and enthusiastic.
• At least 3 years of experience in real estate development, industrial purchasing or inventory management.
• Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
