The Programmatic Specialist will be accountable for managing the day-to-day programmatic operations, compiling data, analyzing, and optimizing our programmatic business. The ideal candidate will have a background working with Ad Tech, Ad Operations, and Ad Sales. In addition, this candidate should have basic knowledge of Programmatic Header Bidding, Publisher Waterfall, SSPs/DSPs/Exchanges/Networks, DoubleClick for Publishers, and analytics/reporting systems.

Essential Functions

• Maintain ongoing, productive relationships with existing ad network partners
• Analyze our programmatic business and make proactive recommendations to increase yield
• Manage all tags in DFP for our partners and troubleshoot any tag issues
• Develop and report to team on industry opportunities including new offerings from existing partners, advertising trends and new potential partners
• Identify and on board new ad network partners
• Ensure compliance with vendor certification process and legal review
• Work with development teams for all new ad unit implementations
• Provide weekly updates on programmatic revenue, by site, by platform, by partner, in a pre-formatted template
• Conduct biweekly calls with ad partners
• Document any incidents related to programmatic, whether related to creative or ad code and data collection, and update management on the number and types of breaches


• Strong knowledge of the ad sales and specifically programmatic advertising industry
• Strong organization, time-management, problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Works well under deadlines and is team-oriented
• Knowledge and understanding of the principles of advertising and marketing, and eager to innovate
• Experienced in Doubleclick for Publishers, Adobe Audience Manager, Microsoft Office
• Online trafficking experience with Adservers (DCM preferred) and experience using pixels and coding URLs for campaign tracking
• Strict attention to detail and ability to prioritize and focus on multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
• At least 2-3 years of programmatic ad sales experience in a media or ecommerce environment
• BA or BS degree required
